Professional background includes 30+ years as a software engineering professional, holding positions as software engineer, intelligent systems engineer, principal engineer, software architect, development manager, engineering director, and vice president of technology and engineering.

Left industry as primary occupation in 2018 taking a position at Austin Community College as a Professor of computer science.

Began PhD study at Texas State University (complete as of October 10th, 2023) in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data scinece. Research interests include recurrent neural networks, attention mechanisms, and complex time-series analysis and prediction.
